Clara Wilson is a Staff Engineer in the Physics Department, and the Manager of the Design Laboratory. She is trained as a mechanical engineer, and completed her education at the University of Colorado at Boulder. In the Columbia Physics Department, Clara acts as a resource for researchers and graduate students, helping them design and manufacture custom components for their research. She is passionate about integrating design and manufacturing into Columbia's Physics education, and supporting researchers on the cutting edge of modern physics.
Clara was born and raised in Colorado, has a deep love of science fiction, and has been known to box for fun. She has an office in the Design Lab, and is always happy to have visitors and answer questions.
